Asahi Kasei Plastics North America Receives Special Achievement Award for Outstanding Performance from DENSO

FOWLERVILLE, MI (June 1, 2023) Asahi Kasei America North America (“APNA”), a supplier of advanced engineered polymers and polypropylene, received a Special Achievement Award for Outstanding Performance from DENSO, a leading mobility supplier, at the company’s annual North America Business Partner Convention on Wednesday, May 31. Held at the Suburban Collection Showplace near Detroit, DENSO brought together nearly 200 supplier representatives from across North America during this year’s Convention to recognize 15 exceptional business partners.

“We are honored to receive this award from our partner DENSO,” states President and Chief Operating Officer Todd Glogovsky. “We thank DENSO for this recognition and the opportunity for collaboration, which has provided us the ability to enhance our quality further and improve the efficiencies of our own business. We look forward to continuing to develop new technologies and strengthen our relationship with DENSO as we build a strong future together.”

DENSO’s Business Partner of the Year Awards are given to companies that demonstrate a shared commitment to outstanding performance, exceptional quality, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and to advancing mobility.

The partners also play important roles in DENSO’s ability to pursue its Two Great Causes: Green – achieving carbon neutrality by 2035 – and Peace of Mind – contributing to a safe and more seamless world for all.  APNA supplies Thermylene, LEONA, XYRON, TENAC, and Thermylon products to DENSO in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

“This past year has been defined by an urgent need to adapt and evolve for emerging mobility trends, from electrification to connectivity and much more,” said Mike Winkler, vice president of the North America Purchasing Group at DENSO. “All of our partners, but especially these award recipients, have been crucial in helping us navigate such changes and deliver for our customers – quickly, sustainably and with enhanced value.”
